One thing you will learn about me is that I’m honest, and I like to keep it real. So when I have to provide a bio about myself, I struggle because I find it very hard to talk about who I am, my accomplishments, life experiences etc. However, what I can tell you is that where I am today, I am a mom of two beautiful kids, wife to my high school sweetheart and have a full time job and a part time job. I have followed the steps of society in going to school, obtaining a BA in Psychology as well as a professional designation in Human Resources. I currently use those skills in my every day work, and I do not regret going to school or spending 100000 hours studying. I guess if I need to throw in some fun facts here… I was SUPER competitive in sports and played them all growing up. You name it ! From baseball, volleyball, snowboarding, competitive figure skating, Rugby and more! I love the cottage (pictured right) and we spend most of our summer days there. I LOVE music and you will see me use my musical taste to spice up my posts on Instagram or in most cases it will influence my next move. Music moves me and heals me when I need to think, work out or just get through my work day. And its so cliché, but my friends and family are my glue. Without the extremely supportive group of people I have in my life, I would not be who I am today. Although we are all extremely dysfunctional and not afraid to say it… lets be honest.. nobody or any family is perfect. Also, I do love a good beverage (also pictured right).. you may see quite a few posts relating to alcohol. Sorry, not sorry :P.
I guess where my head is at today is that I know I am a mom and a wife with one full time and one part time job. I sometimes find myself in this viscous cycle of wake up, work out, get the kids ready and out the door, work, pick up the kids, feed the kids, play, bath, then get the kids to bed and hopefully get some good sleep so we can wake up and do it again. I certainly love my darling children and husband and we do our best to change things up, travel, visit friends and family and all that jazz. However, I would be lying if I didn’t say it can be exhausting. I think most moms can relate to being exhausted for a multitude of reasons. So, at the end of the day, my hope from starting this blog is that I can connect with moms (at any point in their journey) and just provide a safe place to learn, share, talk about helpful products, challenges and wins of being a mom and simply, just being you! And at the end of the day… just f*ucking remember we are SUPERHEROES!! XO
